EP Commodities: Automation of business case processing using SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

In the internal information system innovation project, we helped EP Commodities to switch to the cloud ERP system SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition.

The implementation of SAP S/4HANA Cloud in the Public Edition version at EP Commodities was one of the first deployment projects of this new solution for us. The project itself was not just a transition from the old version of SAP ERP to modern S/4, but also included a significant integration part – linking the new system with the Endur operating system, which the customer needed to continue to use. So that the customer has at his disposal a comprehensive solution with procedures for the entire spectrum of business situations.

One of the customer’s key requirements and at the same time challenges for us was to ensure the automation of the processing of most business cases so that they could take place without manual inputs on the part of system users.

In addition to the actual implementation of the ERP system in the public cloud, the use of SAP Business Technology Platform tools, namely SAP Integration Suite, became part of the project.

The resulting solution enables effective management of the entire life cycle of a business case, from document creation and corrections to cancellation. With the support of the SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition system, EP Commodities thus has a modern and integrated tool that significantly improves operational efficiency and provides a better overview of business processes at its disposal.
