In this article, you will find an overview of the SAP EWM system extension options and optimizations for warehouse processes that we offer.
The standard SAP EWM solution covers a wide range of processes and specific requirements. Unfortunately, in practice it turns out that real life is about something a little different. That it is necessary to skip some standard steps in a complicated way and, conversely, some customer requirements cannot be covered by standard functionality.
This creates space for specific solutions tailored to customer requirements. And since we have been dealing with such requirements for over 20 years, we know which ones are repeated on practically every project.
For such tasks, we prepare add-on solutions that improve with gradual implementation and give our customers great added value, proven by many years of experience.
We would like to briefly introduce some of the solutions that make our customers more efficient and our projects more successful. We implement proven solutions based on the EWM system, not just the EWM system itself.
Automatic assignment of work to the mobile terminal across queues using mib:EWM logic, with optimization of deadlines and minimization of empty crossings
Automatic proposal for changing the handling technique to the worker according to the priorities of the warehouse
Extensions for the warehouse monitor to provide better clarity and more information and functions
Reader application for checking, updating and supplementing logistics data of goods
Significant acceleration and simplification of the reception process using the mobile application
Receipt of mixed-package contents (pallets, boxes), where there are multiple pieces of different items that are not sorted by article. The goal is to scan the package contents gradually, as packed by the supplier. There is no need to first unpack and sort the individual items together to count their total quantity.
Automatic design of the distribution of the received quantity for storage to the picking position and to the reserve stock for replenishment
The possibility of changing the size of storage spaces on the Kardex shelf in graphic form directly from the mobile terminal during warehouse movements.
By scanning the EAN of each piece during picking, the picked quantity is added at the same time.
Additional functions to the standard Fiori application of packaging in dispatch.
Material issue confirmation after picking is done by simply scanning the employee’s NFC card directly on the warehouse worker’s mobile terminal.
Issue of goods for consumption, immediate issue of goods from the warehouse, and similar operations fully processed on the warehouse worker’s mobile terminal.
Simplified process of goods issue reversal and restocking directly on the warehouse worker’s mobile terminal.
Stock at the storage location does not have a specific link to the accounting warehouse; this is only assigned based on warehouse operations.
On a large screen in the warehouse, a continuously updated overview of warehouse workers’ performance and their comparison
A basic cockpit created based on experience, providing an overview of key warehouse processes
Extended CDS Views compared to the standard EWM, model KPIs based on them
