The SAP BTP Innovation Day conference is traditionally dedicated to showcasing the latest updates in the SAP Business Technology Platform and successful projects utilizing its tools.

This year’s program featured demonstrations of SAP Business AI, the generative AI assistant Joule, and new capabilities in SAP Datasphere and SAP Analytics Cloud—business intelligence tools that Mibcon has been actively working with for years.

As a Gold Partner of the conference, Mibcon took the stage during the opening session with a presentation titled Keep the Core Clean in Practice. Our specialists, Jiří Vácha and Daniel Vališ, introduced the core philosophy of developing applications outside the ERP system’s core and highlighted the benefits of this approach.

Jiří Vácha, Mibcon’s Head of Cloud, spoke about the advantages of the Keep the Core Clean concept for maintaining the functionality of ERP system cores. He revisited the key motivations driving companies to digitally transform their internal systems and explored application development opportunities supported by SAP BTP.

Jiří also shared examples of business applications developed by Mibcon for our clients, showcasing both Developer Extensions and Side-by-Side Extensions.

Daniel Vališ, Head of SAP BTP Development, provided insights into our methodology for creating custom business applications—from initial workshops with clients to developing functional specifications.

He outlined each stage of application development and used a specific example—the Business Partner Onboarding application—to illustrate the end-to-end process, from requirements gathering to implementation and ongoing support.
